I Love Concerts
July 17, 2010 @ 12:52:36 AM EST
You can listen to your favorite group on your iPod all day long and it is great but it is not the same as being at a concert live where you not only hear but can feel the music. The frenzy of the crowd and the interactions create a completely different experience. Head banging, moshing and the crazy crowd reactions are part of the unique event. Of course there are people and types of concerts where the crowd is subdued and quietly listening to beautiful music but that is your choice on what type of concert and how you want to interact. These days most concerts deliver not only a great musical experience but add tremendous visual effects like light shows, pyro, laser, video, elaborate mechanical effects and all types mind blowing scenes. Whatever type of music it is that turns you on there is probably a show coming near you soon. This site will focus on identifying the coming concerts while offering resources for finding the best tickets at the best prices.

Album: The Maccabees, "Given to the Wild" (Fiction) |
|
| |
The biggest problem with The Maccabees has always been that they're The Macabees: clean-cut, serious lads who read the NME thoroughly and make music that comes out just a tad too earnest for their own good. It also doesn't help that they have a singer called "Orlando" and there's also a "Rupert" in there and maybe even a "Hugo." Look at them, gazing back at you from their promo shots, slightly wounded by the idea that you're making them pose in a forest before you'll even think about admiring their music.
